Notes

The Dwellings Project at Bedrock Gardens’ Open House

Every living thing dwells somewhere. Come see what a couple hundred school-aged art students have come up with for a home. Their “dwellings” will be scattered over Bedrock Gardens’ 20 acres, some easy to appreciate and spot, some not so. Trust art to open your eyes – the more you look, the more you see. This exhibit takes place during Bedrock Gardens’ May Open House. May 16, 10 am to 4 pm. May 17, 12 to 4 pm. $10 suggested donation.

The Shoe Show at Bedrock Gardens’ Open House

Some shoes are made for walking- some are works of art and warrant a frame. Local artist Molly Grant created the shoes (actually to be worn), and we are incorporating these beautiful, hand-made pieces into framed vignettes occurring throughout the Bedrock Gardens’ 20 acres. This exhibit takes place during Bedrock Gardens’ June Open House. June 20, 10 am to 4 pm. June 21, 12 to 4 pm. $10 suggested donation.

Classical Music Concert at Bedrock Gardens

Listen to Margaret Herlehey on oboe and Harel Geitheim on cello at a garden concert. Both are highly regarded professional musicians who play throughout New England and abroad. You can’t beat beautiful music in a beautiful setting. Tickets are $15 and come with a glass of wine from a local vineyard. Sunday July 19, 4:30 pm. Contact Jill for tickets.

The Open Days of The Garden Conservancy

The Open Days program of the Garden Conservancy is essentially a series of private garden tours around the country that begin in early spring and continue through the fall of each year. Each summer, gardeners are invited by local Regional Representatives to become Garden Hosts and agree to open their garden during a scheduled Open Day (or several days) in their area. The Open Days are self-guided tours. Visitors decide which gardens they want to visit and in what order. For more information, click HERE.
